Bend is a generic term for any offset or change of direction in the pipe fittings. Bends are generally manufactured as per the needs of the piping applications. These do not have sharp corners. Bending methods have constraint as to how much material thinning can be allowed to safely deal with the pressure of the fluid to be contained. Bends are used to bend the pipes as there is no welding required. There is less friction and the flow is smoother. It has a larger radius. Generally, the most basic difference is the radius of curvature. It has a radius of curvature more than twice the diameter.
These are formed while performing all standard manufacturing process to deliver products as per the industrial norms. It has higher resistance against mild corrosive media.
The industrial bend have good performance in the environments where pitting and crevice corrosion is a concern. It is made up of the high thermal stable material which allows using in the higher temperature applications even without deformation. Its design is leakage and joint free allows using in the higher pressure applications. It has a rugged construction, uniform design, sturdy finish, and more other features.
